Loring Park at 1382 Willow Street is named for Charles Loring, the “Father of the Minneapolis Park System.” Loring hired Frederick Law Olmsted to bring a world-class park system to rapidly growing Minneapolis in 1883 and the first 30 acres of this park were purchased.
